Casa America is more than a house for us - it's the place of our dreams, an adventure, an immersion into a foreign yet so familiar world!
In the small, authentic fishing village of Porticello, near Palermo , we bought a holiday home at the end of 2023. Join us on our journey from renovation to holiday apartment rentals and discover the surrounding area with its many sights, rich history, and culinary highlights .
Casa America had been empty for over 10 years; it had to be awakened from its deep sleep!
May we introduce the Casa America team – Milena and her husband Max, along with their parents Ulrike and Dirk. In October 2023, we visited the property together for the first time and found we had every reason to toast with this magnificent view from our future rooftop terrace!
In mid-July 2025, the time had finally come! Dirk and Max drove their small truck from Karlsruhe to Sicily, and so, for example, the dining room furniture belonging to our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was moved to the attic with its wonderful sea view. There are still a few things to do, but we are so close to realizing our dream!!
